Sticky Toffee Pudding

Ingredients :

For sponge:
  • Pitted dates - 10 
  • 1 cup of plain flour
  • Baking soda -1/4 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • brown sugar - 3/4 cup
  • egg 1
  • unsalted butter
  • salt
For Toffee sauce:
  • brown sugar- 1 cup
  • unsalted butter -1/2 cup
  • fresh cream-3/4 cup

Method :


  1. Chop the and soak them in a hot water for 15 min and mash them
  2. Whisk butter and brown sugar in a bowl and add vanilla essence and egg and whisk all together
  3. Add all dry Ingredients- (1 cup of plain flour, Baking soda -1/4 tsp, Baking powder - 1/4 tsp)
  4. Mix the dates and whisk all together
  5. Grease the ramekins with butter and pour 3/4 of it. Pre-heat the oven for 180 degree for 15 min
  6. Bake them for 30 min in same temperature. Cool them 
  7. For toffee sauce- melt brown sugar and butter and fresh cream, once the sauce thickens,switch off the  flame
  8. pour sauce in a cake and serve
  9. Enjoy with Ice cream or plain cream
