Onion/Potato curry/Gravy

Ingredients :


  • 1 Tomatoes
  • 2 bay leaf,2 clove,cinnamon, 2 cardamon(spice)
  • Garlic 2-3
  • 2 big size onion
  • One teaspoon poppy seeds
  • One spoon of sauf flour
  • 6-7 dried  red chillies
  • Half spoon of mustard seeds
  • 5 spoons of coconut
  • 1 spoon of fried channa dal
  • coriander leaves and curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil 

Method :


Grind masala( garlic,coconut, red chilli, sauf, fried channa dal, poppy seeds) into a fine paste 




In a pan, add oil. add mustard seeds,2 bay leaf,2 clove,cinnamon, 2 cardamon(spice),onion. fry them well


Chop the potatoes in to small pieces, fry them for 5 min, add tomatoes and salt.

Add the ground paste..cook until raw smell disappears. add water boil for few min
Add fresh coriander leaves

Serve hot with Idli/dosa
