Kadala Curry(black channa curry)

Ingredients :




  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 2 cups of boiled black channa
  • 1 bay leaf,2 clove,cinnamon, 2 cardamon(spice)
  • Ginger garlic 
  • 2 onion
  • One teaspoon sauf
  • curry leaves
  • 3 tsp of coconut
  • 1 spoon chilli powder
  • Half spoon turmeric powder
  • 1 spoon of coriander powder
  • coriander  leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil(coconut oil)  

Method :



In a pan, add oil fry all:
  • 2 Tomatoes, 
  • 1 bay leaf,
  • 2 cloves
  • cinnamon, 
  • 2 cardamons
  • Ginger 
  • garlic 
  • 2 onion
  • One teaspoon sauf
  • curry leaves
  • 3 tsp of coconut


Add 1 spoon chilli powder
Half spoon turmeric powder
1 spoon of coriander powder in a ground masala



 Add the ground paste in to boil black channa, Boil for further 20 min until every thing cooks well

In a coconut oil, add mustard, curry leaves and onion. add into the gravy.

Enjoy with steamed rice flour(puttu) and poppadom
