Dal Palak(Lentil Spinach)

Ingredients :


  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 2 bay leaf,2 clove,cinnamon, 2 cardamon(spice)
  • Ginger green chilli paste
  • 1 onion
  • One teaspoon cumin seeds
  • One cup of red lentil(masseur dal)
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Half spoon turmeric powder
  • 2 cup of spinach(Palak)
  • coriander  leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil 

Method :

Cook the dal(lentil) until its mashed

Cook the spinach(palak) for 3-4 minutes

In a pan, add oil,add cumin seeds, onion, ginger-green chilli paste.


Add tomatoes, cook until softens

Now add cooked spinach and cooked lentils. boil them for 10 min
Serve with lemon

Eat with chapatis/roti
