Mysore Kadaboo - side dish for Idly and dosa

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup of moong dal
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 spoon of fried chanadal
  • 1 clove,cinnamon, 1 cardamon(spice)
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Poppy seeds
  • One teaspoon cumin seeds
  • One spoon of coriander seeds
  • 1 spoon chilli powder
  • Half spoon turmeric powder
  • 4 spoon of coconut
  • coriander  and curry leaves
  • lemon
  • Salt
  • Oil  

Method :

Boil the moong dal/yellow lentils in a pan nice, smashed consistency

In a pan, add 2 spoon of oil. add clove,cinnamon, cardamon
Then add curry leaves, onion fry well, add ginger-garlic paste.

Add tomatoes and salt, cook well

add boiled potatoes, fry well

Add chilli powder

Make a paste of coconut, fried channa dal, poppy seeds,cumin seeds and coriander seeds.

Add this paste in to pan. cook well for 10 minutes

Now add the boiled moog dal. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and lemon.

Serve with Hot Idli/Dosa
