Ponnaganni Sambar

Ingredients: 

  • Onion - 1 chopped
  • Tomato - 1 chopped
  • Ginger
  • Green chilies - 2 
  • Tamarind - small size
  • Ponnaganni Leaves - bunch
  • Toor Dhal - handful
  • Mustard seeds and Hing for tempering 
  • Sambar Powder

Method:

Boil the toor dal in a pressure cooker for 2-3 whistles until softens.


Add onion, Tomato, green chilli, tamarind, salt ,ginger and Sambar powder. cook them to 1 whistle.


Add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves and hing for tempering.



Serve with hot rice and ghee.
