Mint and Coriander Chutney

Ingredients :

  


  • Mint leaves - 1 small bunch
  • Coriander leaves - handful
  • Urid dal - 1 teaspoon
  • Channa dal - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 nos
  • Ginger
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomato - 1
  • Red chillies - 4
  • Coconut - 100g
  • Tamarind - little
Method



In a pan, add 2 teaspoons of oil - add urid dal, channa dal fry well in low heat.



Add onion, tomato,garlic and ginger cook until tomato softens.

Add mint leaves, coriander leaves, coconut, red chillies and tamarind.
cook them for 3-4 minutes.
Add salt and grind them to fine paste.




Temper with mustard seeds and red chillies.
serve with hot idli and dosa.
