How To Make Mint And Curry Leaf Chutney

Ingredients :

    • One tomato (chopped)
    • Coconut (chopped)
    • Handful of curry leaves
    • Handful of mint leaves 
    • One onion (chopped)
    • One inch of ginger
    • Three cloves of garlic
    • One tablespoon of urid dal
    • Three red chillies
    • Oil
    • Salt (to taste)
    • Teaspoon of mustard seeds


Firstly gently dry fry the chillies along with the urid dal and set to one side 

Heat some oil in the same pan and add the onion and ginger and garlic. Add the tomato next.    

Add both types of leaves, coconut and salt to taste. Transfer this to a grinder along with the chillies and urid dal from earlier. Grind to your preferred consistency. 

Temper mustard seeds with some oil and add to chutney

Serve warm with dosa or idli.
