White Pappu (Urid Dal) Recipe

Time : 25 mins Feeds : 4 Ingredients : Salt Oil Red and green chilli Small onion Curry leaves Urid dal Cumin seeds In a pressure cooker add 200g of urid dal and cover completely with water. Add salt to taste and cook for two whistles (ten minutes). Temper all other ingredients in hot oil. Combine tempered ingredients and dal. Serve with white rice and ghee.

Kuska Rice

Feeds : 4 Time : 35 mins Ingredients : 300 g of rice 1 onion 1 tomato Grinding Ingredients(small onions,green chilli,ginger,garlic,cashews,mint,coriander leaves, cinnamon,2 cloves,little star anise) Bay leaves - 2 curry leaves 3 spoon curd Half spoon turmeric powder Salt Oil Method : In a Pressure cooker, add 4 spoons of oil. Add curry leaves, bay leaves, Onion. fry until it softens. Grinding Ingredients(small onions,green chilli,ginger,garlic,cashews,mint,coriander leaves, cinnamon,2 cloves,little star anise) grind in to fine paste Add this paste in to cooker, fry well until the oil separates. Now add tomatoes and washed rice. fry them for few minutes. Add double amount of water( for 1 cup of rice add 2 cups of water) Add salt and ghee in the end,close the lid cook for 1 whistle. Serve hot with any curry or chicken chettinad/curry. very tasty... must try

Potato and leek Soup

Feeds : 4 Time : 35 mins Ingredients : 2-3 leeks (finely chopped white part) 2 diced potatoes mixed herbs Garlic -2 one onion double cream pepper powder parsley for garnish stock cubes(optional) salt butter Method : In a pan, add butter, fry garlic,onion and leeks. fry well Add potatoes, salt, mixed herbs. fry them well. add water/stock. boil for 15 min Grind the mixture in to fine consistency Boil for few min.. Add double cream. garnish with parsley Serve Hot.. ENJOY
